Kingsbury

Youth football for families based in Kingsbury

Kingsbury families are spoilt for green space — Fryent Country Park and Roe Green Park mean there's rarely a shortage of somewhere to kick a ball. What's harder to find is a club that will actually develop your child once a park kickabout isn't enough. That's where Constantine Football Club comes in.

We don't run sessions inside Kingsbury itself. Our nearest venue is Avanti House School in Stanmore, a straight run up from Kingsbury Circle and one of the closest academy-standard training bases to NW9.

Frequently asked by Kingsbury parents

Is there a Constantine Academy venue in Kingsbury itself?

No — the nearest is Avanti House School in Stanmore. Most Kingsbury families drive it in well under fifteen minutes, and several of our current players make that trip every week.

What age groups can join from Kingsbury?

We coach boys and girls from U7 through to U16, grouped by age and ability.

Can we try a session before committing?

Yes — every new player gets one FREE TASTER SESSION, with no obligation to continue.

My child has only ever played in the park. Is that a problem?

Not at all — that's how most of our players started. Park football builds exactly the touch and confidence we want to work with.

What a session looks like

Sessions are structured the same way each week, and grouped by age and ability — so a child who's never played at a club isn't thrown in with players three years ahead of them.

The first fifteen minutes are a warm-up with a ball at their feet — no standing around waiting for something to start. The next half hour is technical work on one thing: first touch, passing, finishing, one-v-one. Then small-sided games where that skill has to hold up under pressure, and a proper match to finish.

Before they leave, every child hears one thing they did well and one thing to work on. It takes thirty seconds and it's the part they remember on the drive home.

Parents are welcome to stay and watch. Most Kingsbury families do for the first few weeks, and we'd rather you did.

Starting out in Kingsbury

If your child isn't playing anywhere yet, Fryent Country Park and Roe Green Park are good places to start — free, open, and no pressure. A lot of what makes a young footballer is built in exactly that kind of unstructured play.

The point at which a club starts to help is when they begin asking questions you can't answer. Why does the ball keep going over the bar? How do I get past someone quicker than me? That's when they need repetition, structure, and someone watching properly. Usually it's a question asked in the car on the way home from a park kickabout.

Kingsbury families have no shortage of green space, but a club that develops a child properly is harder to come by.

What it costs, and what's included

Fees depend on how many sessions your child attends, and there's a discount for families with more than one child at the club. We also hold places for families facing financial difficulty — ask, and it stays between us.

All coaching equipment, balls and bibs are provided. Your child needs boots or trainers, shin pads and a water bottle, and nothing else. There's no club kit to buy before they start.

The first session is free, and there's no obligation after it.

Nearby areas we also serve

Families travel to our sessions from right across North West London. If you're closer to Queensbury, Harrow or Stanmore, those pages cover the journey and venue details from there.
