Frequently asked by Burnt Oak parents
Is there a Constantine Academy venue in Burnt Oak itself?
Not currently — but Burnt Oak sits close to both our Stanmore and Colindale venues, so you have a choice of nights.
Which venue is closer for Burnt Oak families?
It varies street to street — both Stanmore and Colindale are a short trip away, so pick whichever session times suit your week.
Can we try a session before committing?
Yes — every new player gets one FREE TASTER SESSION, with no obligation to continue.
Which of your two venues should we choose?
Either — Burnt Oak sits almost exactly between them. Pick whichever night suits your week, and you can switch later if the other works better.
What a session looks like
Whichever of our two venues you come to, the session runs the same way — so switching between Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday never means starting again.
The first fifteen minutes are a warm-up with a ball at their feet — no standing around waiting for something to start. The next half hour is technical work on one thing: first touch, passing, finishing, one-v-one. Then small-sided games where that skill has to hold up under pressure, and a proper match to finish.
Before they leave, every child hears one thing they did well and one thing to work on. It takes thirty seconds and it's the part they remember on the drive home.
Parents are welcome to stay and watch. Most Burnt Oak families do for the first few weeks, and we'd rather you did.
Starting out in Burnt Oak
If your child isn't playing anywhere yet, Watling Park and Montrose Playing Fields are good places to start — free, open, and no pressure. A lot of what makes a young footballer is built in exactly that kind of unstructured play.
The point at which a club starts to help is when they begin asking questions you can't answer. Why does the ball keep going over the bar? How do I get past someone quicker than me? That's when they need repetition, structure, and someone watching properly. It rarely arrives all at once — more often it's a few questions over a few weeks.
Burnt Oak is one of the few areas that's genuinely close to both our venues, so you get a choice of training nights.
What it costs, and what's included
Fees depend on how many sessions your child attends, and there's a discount for families with more than one child at the club. We also hold places for families facing financial difficulty — ask, and it stays between us.
All coaching equipment, balls and bibs are provided. Your child needs boots or trainers, shin pads and a water bottle, and nothing else. There's no club kit to buy before they start.
The first session is free, and there's no obligation after it.
